Will I see a colour difference between Dulux Trade and Focus Silk Emulsion (both in Magnolia)?

Also will rubbing a damp sponge over Emulsion gradually take some of it off?

Will I see a colour difference between Dulux Trade and Focus Silk Emulsion (both in Magnolia)?
Yes you will see a difference although both are called Magnolia Dulux Trade has a BS number that means that it conforms to the requirements of the British Standard Institute for pigmentation

the number is BS08B15, whereas the Focus version is close but not guaranteed.

As for the damp sponge, rubbing on emulsion will eventually remove some of the paint.
Reply:Unfortunately yes. It can also be noticable in different batches of the same make. and yes again you will eventually wear away the paint with constant sponging.
Reply:1. Probably. There is no precise standard for paint colours, so every manufacturer will produce a slightly different shade- in fact even within the same manufacturers range the shade can vary a bit from batch to batch. BUT, the difference won't be huge; for insance, if you painted two walls in the same room with different magnolias the difference might not be obvious; but if you tried to re-touch one magnolia with a different make- yes you'd see the difference.

2. If it's a water-based rather than a vinyl emulsion yes you can rub some of it away, but not completely remove it. If it's a vinyl, then no.
Reply:Yes, there will be a colour difference. If you read the back of the tins they do say that the colour could vary from tin to tin, if you are painting a large area then they recommend that you mix them together.

In answer to the second part of your question, yes a damp cloth will rub some of the paint off, if you need to remove the paint then you can buy specialist paint remover wipes, which are a little like baby wipes, or if you are painting in high useage areas then you can buy paint which is wipeable or hardier. Hope this helps.
Reply:YES ,AS I HAVE TOUCHED UP KITCHEN ,AND THEN HAD TO REPAINT THE WHOLE THING .NOT FUN
