Purefoods beat Magnolia after two Overtimes with a 127-126 escape. Purefoods import Darius Rice finished with a career high 56 points in his PBA debut to lead Purefoods TJ Giants.





Local Dondon Hontiveros led Magnolia with 29 points but import Jameel Watkins only scored 23 with 18 rebounds before fouling out with 1:22 in the second overtime for Magnolia.





Following the win, Purefoods finds itself in a four-way tie on top with Coca-Cola, Red Bull, Air21 and reigning all-Filipino champion Sta. Lucia.





James Yap added 20 points for the Giants, Enrico Villanueva also added 16 points and 11 rebounds in his first game with his new team while Kerby Raymundo had 11 markers, but missed a potential game-winning reverse layup with four seconds left in the first overtime and the score tied at 116-116.
