What colour should I paint my room light blue or magnolia?

Light blue magnolia is boring,

What colour should I paint my room light blue or magnolia?
Depends,if you don't get much sun in it then light blue will make it feel quite cold-I have three light blue walls and two darker ones and it can feel quite cold sometimes! It's a nice colour though! Magnolia would make it bright and feel more cosy.
Reply:Please do NOT paint your room magnolia. We did that and had to repaint the whole large room a couple of months later as we couldn't stand to look at it. It really is an awful colour when these days there are lots of really lovely creams and off-whites. Friends recently painted their whole house interior with Dulux Gardenia and it looks beautiful - I'll be using this on the rooms in our new extension.

Blue is my favourite colour but I would never paint a whole room blue, though pale greens or pale greeny-blues can look great.

Just to recap on the main point - PLEASE do not paint your room magnolia.
Reply:Light blue will be cold in the Winter. If you are having plenty of pictures etc - choose magnolia. It's neutral and very in at the moment!
Reply:Why dont you use both colours having the wall magnolia with a blue border curtains and bed covers
Reply:Both? I painted my walls light blue and my alcoves magnolia as a contrast...Looks really nice :-)
Reply:If your room is north facing, I'd go for Magnolia, as blue is a cool colour and a north facing room needs something a bit brighter.
Reply:Magnolia.
Reply:lllllliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiggggggggggghhhhhh... bbbbbbbbbbbbbllllllllllllllllllllllluuuu...
Reply:anything but weak %26amp; weary magnolia.

light blue sounds lovely.
Reply:Light blue...no way!!!if you only have the 2 choices then magnolia!!
Reply:There are a lot of factors to consider when selecting a color for a room. The flooring is going to be the main factor, what is the color of the carpet, tile, etc.? Next factor would be the color of the furniture that will be in that room. You'll want to match it or complement it with the appropriate color. Then, what will be hanging on the walls? After all this is considered and you still have a choice, then it's just a matter of personal preference. Have fun with your project!
Reply:light blue idk
Reply:I'm assuming that the reason you're comparing them is the size of the room.

Why not try light blue up to the chair rail height say 30-36 inches up from the floor then magnolia at the top and on the ceiling.

This should make the room seem to have higher ceilings and you won't have quite the chill factor with the color come winter.

Another suggestion to warm up light blue is to go for a hazy, or dusky version of the color you love. This also shows a lot less dirt.

Benjamin Moore Paints has a whole great new set of colors that are diverse, but really easy on the eye.
Reply:Since you are considering both colors, I would suggest a light blue on the walls and a beautiful magnolia for the trim.

Happy painting! :-)
Reply:I think light blue is fine for a short time , but it ´s a rather cold colour, what about an nice green with a touch of white , or a salmon pink with a touch of white or even peach with a touch of white . pastel colour´s are nice , and the good think about painting light colour´s is it´s easier to paint over if you decide to have a darker colour next time round. If I had to choose from the 2 colours you say, then it would have to be Magnolia
