Does any one know a natural product or method to remove ants from our Magnolia tree?

Ground Black Pepper sprinkled around pests. It works 100%, and makes the bugs taste good too !

Seriously, I had ants killing our trees, they went away in 1 day, NEVER to return. I have used this method many times on different trees and bushes, it ALWAYS works. You can soak the pepper in water over night and mist it on plants too.

If your magnolia has ants, it has bugs. You can buy a sticky compound to paint around the base of your tree, a few feet up and the ants can't cross it. Look at the tree for bugs.
Reply:Try this: Grind a package of yeast into a fine powder and mix it with equal parts of powdered sugar. Mix well and put in a protected dry spot on your tree. The ants come and gather it for food, when they eat it combining it with natural juices inside their stomachs, the yeast grows and POP goes the ant.
Reply:you could cut the tree down..............then you wouldn't have the problem of ants
Reply:I don't know how natural it is, but we use a product called Terro. It's for sweet eating ants and they carry it back to the nest and feed it to the whole colony. They will be gone in a few days. It's a clear "syrup" you put out. It contains Borax.

I'd be careful around dogs and cats though. Sorry I don't have a more natural method, but this one is effective.
Reply:I like to use diatomateous earth. It will kill the ants but isn't toxic or harmful to birds or kids
Reply:I use some of the Terro products as well. But you can also use a pure Borax solution or just the powder itself. Borax is a completely natural product which is found near laundry supplies. I Have ants attacking my almond trees every year. I sprinkle the powder all around the base of the tree(I only reapply if it's rained) and I spray a solution of 1/4c of borax to a empty windex bottle of water. Make sure it is somewhat dissolved and spray the rest of the trunk and limbs you can reach. I also do a line of borax around my shed and house so they don't come in. They can't cross the powder line, you can use plain old kid's sidewalk chalk for that as well. I also wash my cupboards with the borax solution and it keeps them out of the cabinets should they get in. We had a huge problem when we first moved in.
Reply:talcum powder works wonders
Reply:I have a old Indian trick that works. Take Bay leaves and put all around tree. They do not like the smell and will leave. If that dosen,t work and you have to kill them use endust. It works in the house also
