You would plant the sweet Magnolia tree seed like any other seed. You will want to propagate it in a small pot. Take a very light weight pottining soil, (no bark) and add some humas and vermiculite to the soil. Add warm to hot water and mix well. Put the soil almost to the top of the small pot and cover the seed just enough where you can't see it. Water regularly and once it has become a plug, (bigger size) transplant it into a big pot. Once its roots are well established and there is some good growth, go ahead and plant it in the ground.

I hope this has helped and take a look at my website. I will direct you to my site map as well as my Landscape Article section. I have an article on growing herbs from seeds and this is the same process for your sweet Magnolia see.

Good luck and have a great day!
