Choosing best/hardy plant variety of Magnolia plant?

Hi, I want to plant some bushes which blooms in spring and summer in my front yard and the yard faces North-east so minimal sun light in the winter time. Please advice what’s the best/hardy variety of Magnolia plant which is worth investing? And also am very much interested in vine which is easy to grow in my front yard which blooms in spring. Please advice. Thanks for all you feedback.

Magnolia Soulangeana is a great one, it flowers in Spring then again around September. Quite hardy but not keen on being waterlogged for long periods.

Have you looked at evergreen clematis? Very pretty and again, quite hardy.
Reply:The southern magnolias we have in California and Virginia are not hardy in Ohio and other Midwestern states. Where do you live?

My very favorite vine is the purple passionflower then jasmine, trumpet, fuchsia, honeysuckle and clematis.
Reply:Clematis montana, spring flowering, easy, hardy climber. Masses of pink or white flowers. Magnolia stellata, hardy to zones 4-9 , very attractive ,white star shaped flowers, spring flowering Magnolia. Easy. Most Magnolias are April/May flowering and Magnolia loebneri is a cracking plant, early flowering ,tons of flowers.
